The Jeungsan District 4 project involves building 3,509 apartment units and auxiliary welfare facilities in the area of 168-3 Jeungsan-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. DL E&C and Samsung C&T secured their status as participants in in the complex project after a resolution was passed at a general meeting of residents held on the 29th of last month.
Jeungsan District 4 borders Bulgwangcheon Stream to the south and Banhongsan Mountain to the north, and boasts its prime location adjacent to Jeungsan Station on Subway Line 6. It also offers easy access to the Airport Railroad and Gyeongui-Jungang Line at Digital Media City (DMC) Station, along with good connectivity to the Inner Ring Road and Gangbyeonbuk-ro. The project is expected to further benefit from the ongoing development of the Susaek-Jeungsan District and the DMC station area.
DL E&C and Samsung C&T proposed “DIATUS” as the name for the complex in Jeungsan District 4. The name is a portmanteau of the Latin words “diadema”, meaning throne, and “status”, meaning position. The name embodies the consortium’s commitment to building a high-end residential complex in the northwestern Seoul area, where various development plans are advancing based on its prime location surrounded by nature.
‘Diatus’ will feature 55 diverse community facilities, including indoor tennis courts and indoor badminton courts, along with high-end architectural designs such as a 5km-long walking trail, 53 themed gardens, penthouses, terraced houses, and units with three-sided panoramic views. DL E&C and Samsung C&T will also utilize their own differentiated technologies, such as a food waste disposal system and noise reduction system.
An official from DL E&C commented, “With our differentiated complex design in Jeungsan District 4, we will present a new landmark in northwestern Seoul that will satisfy our customers. As large construction companies are actively participating in the invigorated urban complex projects, we will actively review to participate in these new projects.”
